  • OVERVIEW

    Everyday all of us are generating loads of data. The amount of information we collect every second makes it impossible to humans to interpret.

    Entertainment industry took on digital quite early and hence the digital footprint as well as the audience for this vertical is huge. Also the diversity in the consumption pattern brought out the need of a tool which can effectively monitor, manage and build strategies with this immense amount of Data.

  • Brief

    Catchmedia is a platform which saw an opportunity in the entertainment industry and built their solution around this vertical.

    Before Fractal was entrusted to look at the experience Catchmedia was a tool straight out of developer’s table which lacked thought on users working model.

    With Excels and long forms converted into HTMLs the platform required us to look at grounds up. The brief in one line was to look at the platform as a white label product which can be marketed to various genres of clients.

  • challenge

    The biggest challenge was one domain understanding as it was new for us and second to strategize this platform as a global product, where we had to make it culture agnostic.

    Also since the product proposition was new and nothing like this existed in the market we pretty much had a clean slate both in terms of design and experience.

    We were also entrusted for developing the interface using Angular as a technology which itself posed challenges for the development.

  • strategy

    Our strategy was to dive into the project pretty much as novice and then build upon the layers. This allowed us to pretty much challenge every aspect of the functionality and bring cohesiveness in the story.

    Also for the first time the clients were been taken through the process of experience design using user centric approach. This also allowed them to sanitise their beliefs and preconceived notions before jumping on to solutioning.

  • innovation

    Innovation in this project was pretty much seen at every level. The whole process of inventing a workflow where none existed was innovation in itself.

    The whole project was broken down into modules and we followed the hub and spoke approach to keep it agile yet goal oriented. Mobility although in Enterprise products is a secondary workflow or a view only mode, we approached it pretty much as an action device. This allowed us to provide more than what client’s customer expected on mobile devices and hence better conversion for them overall.

  • CAMPAIGN BUILDER

    Campaign builder is one of the most complex module in the platform. It starts with audience definition, moves on to campaign design and then set up the tool for effective tracking, monitoring and editing.

    The platform also allows you to be flexible by providing course correction module which might become hugely useful in cases where things are not working. Unique interfaces for rule building and composing made us think beyond the standard interface components.

    Campaign management is an agile concept. Catchmedia’s campaign management tool allows to be flexible with the campaign and effectively monitor the progress of the campaign.

    Building scenarios and testing it with different groups of audience is a common phenomenon and the platform allows you to easily build and roll these out.

    Reporting is a standard module for most of the data based tools. There are 2 parts to any reporting tool.

    1. What reports to be generated2. How to easily access the reports once its made?

    Over a period of time huge number of reports are accumulated and effective archiving and retrieval becomes a challenge. Catchmedia allows you to generate, archive, club and retrieve reports. Catchmedia also allows to automate the standard report generation for different user segments so that lazy users can still benefit from the platform without sweating it out on the platform.
